Saren Schapiro, M.Sc., CCC-SLP is a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in a wide variety of pediatric settings. She started her career with Gwinnett County Public Schools providing services to children in classrooms ranging from severe-profound to mainstream settings. She continued her experiences working in a multidisciplinary private practice which included Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and language focused computer programming, as well as working for a private Atlanta based practice specializing in providing individualized Speech-Language Therapy within clients’ homes, schools, and daycares.
Saren has both diagnostic and therapeutic experience working with children with a variety of Speech/Language challenges, including Cerebral Palsy, Feeding disorders, Oral-Motor and Swallowing challenges, Down Syndrome and Mitochondrial Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Apraxia of Speech, Auditory Processing disorders, Language delay, Speech Sound disorders, and Sensory Processing disorders.
Saren is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Communication Sciences and Disorders and received a Bachelors of Science degree upon completion. She then earned a Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Saren currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and remains an active member of ASHA, as well as the Georgia Speech-Language Hearing Association (GSHA).
